i'm up at ace cafe the weekend so thought i'd give the car some new plugs, oil and filter, fuel filter and a good clean as it hasnt seen much use lately - anyway i've had a tub of bilt hamber auto balm carnauba wax sitting in the cupboard for ages and i thought i'd give it a go instead of the usual meguiars liquid stuff - THIS STUFF IS AMAZING - the car has come up better than ever, the only downside is its hard graft to remove it once its dried on but for the money i have never used a better wax ever. even worked wonders on the back box to seal it after it was polished and on any carbon too. i very highly recommend this if you dont want to pay through the nose for a quality wax. i'll let the pics speak for me but i am really pleased with everything this time, really feel like its 101% ready to show off :D

gave the engine bay a good back to black and polish up as the ali parts had started to go dull

and did my usual wipe over with wd40 underneath - holding up well for whats now a ten year old car......

hope you like as much as i do :D

Christ, that is stunning :notworthy: Fancy borrowing mine for a weekend :D

How did you do the underneath though??? I spent three days under mine last year when I was undersealing it and it still didn't look anywhere near as clean as yours especially round the rear suspension / diff etc?

cheers mate, just use wd40 on a rag for all the underneath of it mate - leaves a greasy film on it all that stops it rusting, helps if its not all rusty to begin with though :(....the pumpkin was looking a bit crummy so i just cleaned it up with some autosol on a greeny sponge, didnt spend long on it, in all it took most of the day do the whole car top to bottom inside out including engine bay and underneath ;)

Awesome mate!! :)

Looks well clean and shiny lol... I personally use Zymol Titanium wax but just don't have the time to do a balls out job. I'm lucky if I can grab a few hours to sort out gaskets or fit some upgrade part haha (the joys of kids)...

And there's definitely summat wrong if underneath looks like brand new haha :p

thanks bud.

- dont skid it do i :p - a good few sessions should have the underneath of any car peppered with chips so i reckon you should get under yours double time and have a look before theres no chassis left - you know what these old datsuns are like left unchecked lol.

lol yeah I know... DWYB is a nightmare on the car inside and out!!! :D

TBH I just don't have the time at the mo... I'm being ignorant and lazy leaving all the cleaning underneath and worst comes to the worst, if the rust gets bad I'll just buy a replacement S15 and transplant all my mod parts over. How stupid is that idea haha :p
