500 bhp gearbox

I am looking for a gearbox that can take 450 to 500 bhp
for a track car any suggestion's as i am on my third
standard box and a getting fed up changing them

i think the nismo box is only rated at 400ps? Alternativley you could go for a ppg gear set from australia but i think thats only for the s14 5 speed box.

Z32 box for reliability. Mazworks in the US makes a fitting kit.
Or you can go the expensive route with dogbox Ikeya Formula makes a dogbox which you can use their seq shifter with

nismo is only rated to 350ps and ppg are super expensive

I would think the RB25DET box is just as good as well.

Looks like the best thing to do for now it to just get another s15 box

I took the gearbox apart to recondition it and keep it as a spare and this is what i found

When I was opened it this fell out

The car is making about 400bhp at the moment but I have plans for more when I get the gearbox sorted out .

I am going to get a price for the parts and see if it is worth my while rebuilding it

How much are you looking for the box, I might be able to make 1 good box out of the two

might as well up the spec... if you gonna rebuilt it its judt gonna happen again.

Yes I might get a z 32 conversion although the z33 6 speed is is ment to be stronger but a lot more expensive

The ORC gear sets only fit the 5 speed box and I know a few lads
that have broke them

I dont know what to do yet ,I think I will rebuild the box that I have to standard spec and keep it as a spare and then either build a super strong
s 15 box or just go for a z32 5 speed or Z33 conversion but with these conversions I think the gearing is a little longer so its hard to know
