Taking out complete standard boost Gauge

hi I've a set of Defi gauges coming in very soon, was thinking can the standard boost gauge be removed with all the sensors and fit on a different car. as my girl friends colt CZT don't have a boost gauge hehehe. If so does anyone know what else is needed to make this work?
